At the heart of Appennino modenese, Mount Cimone stands out till 2.165 meters above the sea level and hosts the main ski resort of the entire northen Appennino. Being surrounded at its feet by various villages like Sestola, Fanano, Riolunato and Montecreto, it represents the best starting point for the ski lifts, as well as for our guests' hospitality.

The wintry ski resort of Cimone is composed by 50 km of ski runs, all connected with each other and reachable with an only electronic ski pass. The system we offer keeps on renewing itself continuously, in order to decrease the waiting and ascent time and the strenghtening of the artificial snow installation (30 km).

Passionates can choose amid a wide range of ski runs that snake into three slopes: long and large sides with pretty hard and challenging slopes (with more than 600 mt. climb), but also shorter and easier routes to go through, ideal for beginners.

At your complete disposal there are more than 50 ski instructors, who will follow you through your first approach with the mountain. They will pay attention to all your needs and a special care will be given to the youngest skiers, with to-measure courses in the brand new baby-park “Cimonelandia”, situated in Lago della Ninfa, where babies can ski safely, while playing funny games with snow.

Worth to mention is also the new Snow Park: it is supplied with half pipe, fun box, big air and equipment for the many riders. Above all that, it hosted a quite number of international competitions.

As you can see, plenty of fascinating activities are waiting for you to try: free ride, ski mountaineering, rock climbing, sleddog, kitesurf, snowmobile, hikes and excursions with snow shoes or “ciaspole” on your feet... Each of them will give you a special insight into the wonderful landscapes of the area, while offering pure joy moments.

Even when you lay down your ski boots, endless options will make you spend the rest of the day in an awesome way... tennis fields, swimming pools, discos and the Fanano Ice Skating Rink, which is the next best thing when weather conditions won't allow you to go down the slope and many other attractions aid an out of the ordinary experience.
